Qualifications

• Prior experience operating asphalt rollers preferred.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving and compaction techniques.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work long hours, including overtime, during the paving season.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt rollers to compact asphalt surfaces to project specifications.
• Work closely with the paving crew, paver operators, and foreman.
• Monitor asphalt temperature, mat conditions, and compaction requirements.
• Perform pre-operation equipment inspections and report issues.
• Maintain rolling speed and overlap to achieve uniform compaction.
• Follow all job site safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with general labor duties as needed.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and project timelines.
