Job summary

BROTHERS Pro-Pave LLC is seeking a Roller Operator to safely and efficiently operate breakdown, rubber tire and finish rollers for asphalt paving projects. The role requires experience with asphalt rolling and heavy equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality finishes.

The candidate will perform daily equipment checks, monitor compaction, and adjust speed based on material temperature and compression needs.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ of asphalt rolling experience.
Knowledge of Rollers and other heavy equipment.
Knowledge of construction materials, construction processes and industry requirements.
Understanding of computerized controls and electronics.
3+ experience within the asphalt industry.
2+ years’ experience operating Breakdown Rollers, Rubber Tire Rollers and/or Finish Rollers is required

Responsibilities

Operate the roller and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
Safely operate roller in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted.
Determine speed and direction of machine, based on material compressibility.
Push hand roller over areas not accessible to road roller.
Operate self-propelled rollers and other equipment to compact earth and asphalt.
Operate the Breakdown roller to massage hot mix asphalt into place.
Operate the Finish Roller in overlapping passes to apply final finish and remove imperfections.
Operate Pad Foot Roller with vibrate when necessary.
Operate Smooth Drum Roller to seal subgrade and base surfaces.
All other duties as assigned.
