Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, CO is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist licensed anesthesia providers in clinical settings. You will prepare and apply equipment for anesthesia under supervision, ensure AWS readiness, and support patient positioning and transport as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires a high school diploma, BLS/CPR certification, and ASATT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with at least 6 months left before expiration.
• ASATT Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides anesthesia set up for cases by completing the anesthesia machine check out and assisting with equipment troubleshooting.
• Disinfects equipment and restocks Anesthesia Work Station between cases.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for procedures as directed.
• Sets up rapid infusers, ultrasound, fiber optic scopes and other necessary devices.
• Assists Anesthesia provider with patient transport and coordinates with other departments for equipment.
