Job summary

Textron Aviation, a global leader in private aviation, is seeking a skilled sheet metal fabricator in San Diego to fabricate, repair, and install aircraft structures. You will interpret blueprints and work from technical specifications to ensure airworthy results.

You should have 3+ years of aviation sheet metal experience, read aircraft drawings, and possess knowledge of FAA AC-43.13-1B. A high school diploma and eligibility for an airport security badge are required.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret aircraft blueprints, drawings and repair manuals.
• Knowledge of FAA AC-43.13-1B and aircraft structural repair practices.
• Able to obtain and maintain an airport security badge if required.
• Minimum 3 years of aviation sheet metal experience.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal components and aircraft structures per procedures and drawings.
• Interpret blueprints to determine project requirements and repair methods.
• Form, bend, lay out, and shape sheet metal parts to precise specifications.
• Drill, debur, countersink, and dimple components for proper fit.
• Install rivets and fasteners; maintain airworthiness and safety.
