Job summary

Advanced Ground Systems Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to interpret blueprints, work instructions, and specifications to fabricate or repair aircraft ground support equipment, ensuring precise and high-quality builds.

Responsibilities include assembling engine stands and subassemblies, reviewing drawings for accuracy, inspecting finished work, performing functional checks, and maintaining a clean, safe 5S/6S workplace with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; minimum five years mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft engine stands and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and sketches.
• Review drawings and parts lists for accuracy and coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Inspect completed assemblies to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
• Perform functional and operational checks of assembled products.
• Ensure all assembly work meets AGSE quality and safety standards.
• Accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Identify and resolve assembly or documentation issues, reporting non-conformance to leads or supervisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S/6S principles.
