Adpma, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician (A, P, or A&P) to join our aerospace production team in Piney Flats, TN. The role supports assembly, maintenance, inspection, repair, modification, and testing of aerospace components and aircraft systems to meet exact specs, safety standards, and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate will hold an FAA Airframe (A), Powerplant (P), or A&P certificate and have a minimum of five years of hands‑on aviation experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly, modification, repair, and integration of aerospace components and systems using hand tools and precision instruments.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Follow blueprints, drawings, and maintenance manuals for installation and testing operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and system‑level issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Assembly Technician (A, P, or A&P) to join our aerospace production team. This role supports multiple production programs and projects, with primary responsibility focused on the assembly, maintenance, inspection, repair, modification, and testing of aerospace components and aircraft systems while ensuring products meet exact specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a valid FAA Airframe (A), Powerplant (P), or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate and have a minimum of five years of hands‑on aircraft maintenance, aerospace assembly, or aviation manufacturing experience. Candidates with experience in commercial airline operations, MRO facilities, FAA repair stations, aerospace manufacturing, defense, or military aviation environments are strongly preferred. Candidates must be capable of working independently in a fast‑paced, quality‑driven production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical assembly, modification, repair, and integration of aerospace components and aircraft systems using hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision instruments.
  • Support a variety of aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, and assembly programs.
  • Conduct aircraft and component inspections in accordance with engineering requirements, maintenance manuals, and company procedures.
  • Perform assembly, fitting, drilling, fastening, riveting, and installation operations in accordance with engineering specifications.
  • Follow detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, work instructions, and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, structural, and system‑related issues.
  • Conduct in‑process and final inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, production documentation, and inspection reports.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify product conformity and quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and process efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, company procedures, and customer requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree, military aviation training, or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on aircraft maintenance, aerospace assembly, aviation manufacturing, military aviation, MRO, repair station, or related aerospace experience required.
  • FAA Airframe (A), Powerplant (P), or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate required. Candidates holding either Airframe or Powerplant ratings are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, aircraft maintenance manuals, and work instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Experience performing aircraft inspections, repairs, modifications, and component installations.
  • Experience with sheet metal fabrication, structural repairs, and aircraft hardware installation is a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of torque tools, precision measuring instruments, and standard aviation maintenance equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
  • Commercial airline, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul), FAA repair station, defense, aerospace manufacturing, or military aviation experience strongly preferred.
  • General aviation experience is welcome; however, candidates with experience in commercial, military, or production‑focused aviation environments will be given preference due to the fast‑paced nature of our operation.
  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, quality systems, and maintenance documentation requirements preferred.
Additional Information
  • Drug and alcohol testing is mandatory and subject to random testing.
  • Pay is dependent upon experience, qualifications, certifications, and aviation maintenance experience.
  • Full‑time position.
  • Candidates with 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience and an FAA Airframe, Powerplant, or A&P certificate are strongly encouraged to apply.
