Job summary

Nutrien Ag Solutions is seeking a Precision Ag specialist to support the sales team in Colby, KS. You will lead on-farm trials, develop variable rate prescriptions, and train staff on digital tools used in the Nutrien Precision Ag Platform.

The role emphasizes collaboration with crop consultants, general managers, and the sales force to promote innovative agritech and sustainable practices. Experience in precision agriculture and field agronomy is essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Precision Ag., Agribusiness or Ag mechanics preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Precision Ag or equivalent agricultural sales preferred.
• Farm production background would be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and analyze on-farm research trials and disseminate findings to growers and employees
• Help implement Nutrien's Sustainable Nitrogen Outcomes (SNO) Program and Ardent Mills Wheat Sustainability Program
• Create and upload variable rate prescriptions
• Echelon training and troubleshooting
• NutriScription training and troubleshooting
• Autonomous Pivot training and troubleshooting
• Sentek water probe training and troubleshooting
• Climate FieldView & My JD Ops Center training and troubleshooting
• Precision Ag training and troubleshooting
• Seasonal scouting
• New employee onboarding support
• General IT support
• Promote and support the division's digital and online sales tools
• Must be open minded to explore new diversification opportunities including aerial imagery, nutrient modeling, data management systems, etc.
• Promote strategy and adoption by sales team through internal meetings and presentations etc.
• Develop and coordinate sales strategies, advertising, field days, grower meetings to promote interest by growers and Nutrien Ag Solutions customers
• Work closely with Crop Consultants and General Managers to implement and support their efforts to adopt innovation into the regional strategy
• Conduct training on software and hardware as necessary
• Work closely with outside service providers (labs, contract sampling, consultants, scouts etc.) to ensure their compliance with Nutrien Ag Solutions requirements and direction
• Manage technology vendor relationships to ensure that adequate support and training are being offered

What You'll Do:

• Utilize communication skills to show the benefits and technical aspects of precision ag tools and how they can be incorporated into the Nutrien Precision Ag Platform

• Promote and support the division's digital and online sales tools
