Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a detail‑oriented Cutting Operator to run Gerber automated cutting equipment for aerospace composite materials. You will prepare and load prepregs and carbon fibers, interpret drawings, and ensure contamination‑free, precise cuts to support aircraft manufacturing.

The role requires accurate material handling, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams in a high‑precision environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training in manufacturing is a plus.
• Experience with production tracking systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Gerber cutting machines per specifications.
• Load, align, and prepare materials for cutting with high accuracy.
• Interpret drawings and cut files to ensure correct ply and orientation.
• Inspect cut parts for dimensional accuracy and conformity to tolerances.
• Label and track materials with part numbers and batch codes.
• Handle hazardous materials using proper PPE and cleanroom procedures when required.
• Maintain equipment with routine cleaning and blade changes.
• Record material usage and report defects or inefficiencies to supervisors.
• Follow AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, OSHA and site safety standards.
