Job summary

Aerotek in Tempe, AZ is seeking an assembler to fabricate, assemble, and calibrate components per blueprints and procedures. You will use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments, while maintaining quality, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.

The role requires reading drawings, working in a production cell with possible shift changes, and contributing to Lean initiatives. Must lift up to 40 pounds and complete pre-employment screenings; high school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of manufacturing assembly experience required.
• 3+ years in a regulated industry such as aerospace preferred.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Lift up to 40 pounds and operate hand/power tools safely.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment screening and medicals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and calibrate production parts per procedures and quality standards.
• Interpret drawings, ATPs, specs and work instructions for sequence of operations.
• Complete required documentation (travelers, pull sheets, shipment forms) accurately.
• Lift and handle materials and test manifolds (up to 40 pounds) safely.
• Mix primers, adhesives, and sealants as specified; trim, drill, ream, grind, sand, finish parts.
• Ensure products meet customer specs and shipping details; support OTIF goals.
• Use E10 transactions and dashboards to manage work and inventory.
• Assemble across a production cell or multiple lines per training matrix.
• Inspect final products for compliance and quality.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives; participate in training.
