Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Madison, Alabama, is seeking an Assembler 2 to support our Assembly department. This on-site role will perform diverse production assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical components, working from engineering drawings with hand tools and microscopes to ensure precision.

Preferred candidates have 2+ years of assembly experience and familiarity with SMT, RF/CNI systems, and quality inspections, with knowledge of MES SAP and ITAR/AS9100 regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related assembly experience.
• Experience with soldering and SMT packages; wire harness construction.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using microscopes for precision assembly.

Responsibilities

• Performs production assembly on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Works from diagrams, layouts, and uses hand/power tools, jigs, and saws.
• May conduct quality inspections per specifications.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test assemblies/subassemblies.
