Job summary

Sun Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Assembler 2 to support our Assembly department on-site at Madison, AL. The role requires reading complex drawings and performing precision assembly with soldering and SMT experience.

Typical shift is 6am-4:30pm, with benefits including ACA-compliant medical insurance, a 401(k), and state-wide sick leave. The candidate will assemble electronic and mechanical components, perform continuity checks, and may conduct quality inspections or work on prototype

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of related assembly experience.
Experience with soldering (J-Standard certification preferred).
Experience with SMT packages or wire harness construction.
Ability to work from complex engineering drawings, blueprints, or work instructions.
Experience working with microscopes for precision assembly.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of assembly tasks on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies using diagrams, drawings, and tools.
Conducts continuity checks on work in process and completed items.
May perform quality inspections on the processing line per quality specifications.
May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies.
