Job summary

Rocket EMS in Carson City, NV is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to run and maintain our 2DX X-ray inspection equipment, ensuring PCBAs meet solder quality standards and alignment.

You will load and unload assemblies safely, interpret inspection images, and work with Quality, Process Engineering, and Rework teams to resolve defects and maintain imaging performance in a fast-paced line.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronics manufacturing or PCB inspection.
• Familiarity with 2DX/X-ray or AOI/AXI equipment is a plus.
• Ability to interpret inspection images accurately.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
• Proactive approach to quality and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate 2DX X-ray inspection systems to verify solder quality and detect defects.
• Load and unload assemblies safely while following ESD procedures.
• Review inspection images and flag nonconforming conditions.
• Collaborate with Quality, Process Engineering, and Rework teams to verify defects.
• Maintain machine calibration and cleanliness for consistent imaging quality.
• Follow production schedules and IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards.
• Report recurring issues to support continuous improvement.
• Perform basic maintenance and notify supervisors of equipment issues.
