Job summary

Rocket EMS in Carson City, NV is seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to run and maintain our 2DX X-ray inspection equipment, ensuring PCBAs meet high reliability and customer standards for aerospace and technology programs.

You will load and unload assemblies, verify solder quality and voiding, review inspection images, and collaborate with Quality, Process Engineering, and Rework teams. You’ll maintain calibration, follow IPC-A-610 Class 3, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in electronics manufacturing or PCB inspection preferred.
• Familiarity with 2DX/X-ray or AOI/AXI equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret inspection images accurately.

About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Machine Operator to run and maintain our 2DX X-ray inspection equipment as part of our electronics manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll inspect printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for solder joint quality, voiding, and component alignment to ensure every product meets our high reliability and customer standards.

What You’ll Do

Operate 2DX X-ray inspection systems to verify solder quality and detect hidden defects.

Load and unload assemblies safely while following all ESD and handling procedures.

Pay Range

$22 - $26 USD
