Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for multi-family and commercial projects. You will review plans, specs, and scopes of work, and assemble material lists in coordination with project teams.

You should be proficient with Planswift or similar estimating software and MS Office, with excellent reading of blueprints and strong time management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating (multi-family/commercial preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Proficient in estimating software (Planswift or similar) and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and project scope
• Create quality / accraute material lists from approved plans
• Collect and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
• Assist with bid submissions and proposals
• Identify risks and cost-saving opportunities
• Coordinate with project managers and internal teams
• Maintain estimate records and ensure deadlines are met
