nVent is seeking a plating operator to examine copper or aluminum surfaces, grind and deburr, and apply cleaning and plating chemicals according to the print and standard procedures in a production environment.

You will review prints, perform masking as required, and ensure all designated areas are plated. The role requires strict EH&S adherence, accurate record-keeping, and the ability to operate grinders and plating equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Basic print reading and tape measure reading to 1/16 inch preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Able to prioritize work based on production schedules
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
• Experience with BOMs, material handling and inventory is a plus

Responsabilités

• Examine surfaces for flaws and prepare them for plating
• Grind, sand, or file to smooth surfaces and deburr edges
• Apply cleaning and plating chemicals per print or procedures
• Review prints to ensure designated areas are plated and make corrections
• Comply with EH&S requirements and wear PPE
• Maintain clean and organized work area and equipment
• Operate equipment such as grinders and plating tools as needed
