Job summary

Knights Companies Inc. is seeking a Yard Supervisor to lead loading operations and supervise the yard crew for efficient, safe handling of precast products.

You will coordinate truck loading, verify loads against the load book, ensure proper labeling, and maintain a clean, safe yard while communicating with Shipping and Production to resolve discrepancies. Leadership and plan-reading skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in precast concrete or logistics; 5 years preferred.
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, including a front-end loader.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, load lists, and production plans.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to direct and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all truck loading activities.
• Supervise yard pick-up loads to match the load book and company standards.
• Ensure products are properly marked, labeled, and identified before shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment.
• Oversee placement and storage of precast castings to optimize yard space and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Direct loader operators and yard crew to maintain a smooth daily workflow.
• Communicate with Shipping and Production regarding discrepancies or production concerns.
