Job summary

Fisher Associates is seeking a Full-time Civil/Structural Engineer to execute precast engineering for projects in Albany, NY and surrounding areas. You will collaborate with project teams to deliver cost-effective, aesthetically pleasing precast concrete designs and perform structural analyses under varied loads.

Requirements include a BS in Civil Engineering with 0–5 years of experience, EIT or ability to obtain it, and proficiency in AutoCAD and RISA 3D.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 0–5 years minimum transportation and/or structural engineering experience.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain it.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in RISA 3D.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work and solve problems using engineering judgment.
• Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and take ownership of assigned work.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Adaptability and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Execute precast engineering and design assignments for civil and structural projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop structurally sound, cost-effective precast concrete designs.
• Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations to evaluate performance under loading conditions.
• Select materials and components that meet project requirements for strength and durability.
• Prepare accurate drawings, plans, and specifications that align with industry standards and project requirements.
• Support project cost estimating efforts for precast materials and components.
• Assist Project Managers and Designers throughout project development and support QA/QC processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
