Job summary

Fisher Associates is seeking a Precast Designer in Albany, NY, to perform precast and prestressed concrete design tasks for transportation infrastructure and underground structures. You will collaborate with project teams, Project Managers, and Engineers to deliver safe, durable, and cost-effective solutions.

The role offers a hybrid work schedule and requires up to 5 years of design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, with familiarity in ACI and AASHTO codes.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of design experience in precast concrete design engineering for transportation infrastructure and underground structures.
• A.S. degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Familiarity with ACI 318, ACI 350, ASCE-7, and AASHTO.
• Experience in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned precast drafting and design tasks for transportation infrastructure and underground structures.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop structurally sound, cost-effective precast concrete designs.
• Create accurate drawings, plans, and specifications aligned with industry design standards.
• Support material cost estimation and assist Project Managers and Designers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize, and support QA/QC processes and gain knowledge of precast and prestressed concrete technologies and codes.
