Job summary

Rinker Materials Career Center in Rapid City, SD is seeking a Technical Resource Engineer to promote precast concrete products and present project-specific solutions to engineers, specifiers and public works teams. You will manage relationships with DOTs and municipalities and collaborate with sales and operations.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years of related experience, excellent communication skills, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
Professional Engineering License preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years related experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with strong presentation abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to travel.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Present project-specific solutions to civil engineering clients and state/local authorities.
Promote engineered precast concrete products to engineers, specifiers and end users.
Collaborate with DOTs and municipalities to improve storm drain specifications.
Manage relationships with industry organizations and customers.
Build customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
Present to engineering entities and trade associations; liaise between engineers and sales/operations.
Support market development and education of material specifying processes.
Assist with introduction of new products and organize Lunch & Learn events and plant tours.
Attend trade shows relevant to the territory.
