Job summary

Rinker Materials is seeking a Technical Resource Engineer to promote new and existing engineered concrete products to civil engineers, DOTs, and municipalities. You will present project-specific solutions, build strong customer relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to grow market share while traveling up to 35% of the time.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with 5+ years of related experience and strong communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineering License preferred (not mandatory)
• Minimum of 5 years related experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong presentation skills
• Exceptional interpersonal and listening skills including the ability to solve problems proactively, and exercise sound judgment
• Advanced skills in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP/database tools

Responsibilities

• Present project-specific solutions to civil engineering clients, State DOTs, and municipalities
• Promote engineered precast concrete products to engineers, specifiers, end users and internal teams
• Collaborate with DOTs and Local Municipalities on improving storm drain specifications
• Manage relationships with industry organizations
• Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
• Deliver presentations to key engineering entities and trade associations
• Serve as liaison between engineer and sales/operations teams
• Support market development and education of the material specifying process
• Introduce new products and organize Lunch & Learn and plant tours
• Identify and attend relevant trade shows in the designated territory
