Role Summary
The Project Manager will manage precast concrete projects from post‑sale through closeout at our Moss Point, MS facility, ensuring customer requirements are met while delivering on schedule, budget, and overall business performance objectives.
Responsibilities
- All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment and the production of high‑quality products.
- Maintain frequent communication and input from all relevant parties to ensure project plans are being met.
- Ensure all documentation is in place to begin and continue invoicing in a timely manner and assist in the collection of outstanding payments as required.
- Responsible for contract review, negotiation, and execution.
- Ensure applicable terms, conditions, and scope information are consistent with the intent of Tindall’s proposal and have been appropriately disseminated within the division.
- Ensure all contract terms are complied with in the execution of the work and monitor the project for changes that will be negotiated and executed as change orders in a timely manner per the terms of the contract.
- Understand customer’s requirements as accommodated by Tindall’s proposal and create project schedules to meet said requirements with the input of the appropriate functional areas of the operation.
- Facilitate meetings to convey necessary information and establish the necessary plans to ensure the successful outcomes of all projects.
- Communicate with customers in a clear and direct fashion and in a timely manner regarding any matters that could affect the company’s interests.
- Ensure project files are current and complete.
- Ensure appropriate field safety and quality assurance measures are followed.
- Acquire specific project information or materials, or any other task necessary to keep established production and field schedules intact.
- At the conclusion of every project, ensure all close‑out documentation has been submitted and project files are appropriately archived once final payment is made.
- Convene one or more project post‑mortem meetings to review the project with the appropriate functional areas to identify non‑conformances, root causes, and appropriate corrective actions.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, or business, or comparable work experience preferred.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience with exposure to precast concrete, engineering, and/or operations.
Travel: Minimal travel required; primarily occasional site visits or customer meetings based on project needs.
