Job summary

County Materials Family of Companies seeks a Project Checker for County Prestress & Precast in Westmont, IL. The role focuses on reviewing erection drawings, piece tickets, and production documents to ensure contract compliance and timely production.

You'll work with Project Managers, Engineers, Coordinators, and Schedulers to resolve issues, optimize constructability, and keep schedules on track, leveraging strong precast knowledge and detail orientation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in precast concrete drafting, detailing, or checking.
• Experience using AutoCAD or Revit (Autodesk certification preferred).
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of construction documents and precast systems.
• Knowledge of LecWall systems is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of precast concrete detailing and production drawings
• Review contracts, estimates, drawings, specifications, and addenda to confirm project scope
• Verify erection drawings and piece tickets for accuracy, completeness, and approvals
• Identify opportunities to improve constructability and reduce project costs
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Coordinators, Engineers, and Schedulers to meet timelines
• Collaborate throughout the drawing development process to resolve issues efficiently
• Maintain positive working relationships with engineers, architects, and contractors
