Responsibilities

• Perform required duties under the supervision of the VP of Engineering.
• Provide design calculations for precast concrete products.
• Prepare calculations in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Work with coordinators to ensure accuracy during preparation of erection drawings.
• Act as a liaison between the company and contractors.
• Maintain awareness of project schedules.
• Visit job sites and production facilities as needed.
• Provide timely field and production repair solutions.
• Identify opportunities to optimize design efficiency and cost.

Job description

• Perform required duties as assigned under the supervision of the VP of Engineering.
• Provide design calculations for precast concrete products and components, including but not limited to connection designs and reinforcement detailing.
• Prepare formal, for-submittal calculations in accordance with applicable codes and regulations for customers and building officials.
• Work closely with project coordinators during the preparation of erection drawings to ensure accuracy and efficiency based on design calculations.
• Act as a liaison between the company and contractors, owners, architects, and erectors, in coordination with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator.
• Maintain awareness of project schedules across all phases to ensure internal and external stakeholder needs are met.
• Visit job sites and production facilities as needed to become familiar with production and erection procedures and to address any issues that arise.
• Provide timely field and production repair solutions as needed.
• Proactively identify opportunities to optimize design efficiency and cost.
