Responsibilities
Perform required duties under the supervision of the VP of Engineering.
Provide design calculations for precast concrete products.
Prepare calculations in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
Work with coordinators to ensure accuracy during preparation of erection drawings.
Act as a liaison between the company and contractors.
Maintain awareness of project schedules.
Visit job sites and production facilities as needed.
Provide timely field and production repair solutions.
Identify opportunities to optimize design efficiency and cost.
Job description
Perform required duties as assigned under the supervision of the VP of Engineering.
Provide design calculations for precast concrete products and components, including but not limited to connection designs and reinforcement detailing.
Prepare formal, for-submittal calculations in accordance with applicable codes and regulations for customers and building officials.
Work closely with project coordinators during the preparation of erection drawings to ensure accuracy and efficiency based on design calculations.
Act as a liaison between the company and contractors, owners, architects, and erectors, in coordination with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator.
Maintain awareness of project schedules across all phases to ensure internal and external stakeholder needs are met.
Visit job sites and production facilities as needed to become familiar with production and erection procedures and to address any issues that arise.
Provide timely field and production repair solutions as needed.
Proactively identify opportunities to optimize design efficiency and cost.
