Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production or perform owner/agency inspections for DOT projects. You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, and accept or reject finished products while maintaining QC records for PCI and DOT programs.

The role requires PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II, 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant,

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification is required and should be current.
• Minimum 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
• Working knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT specs is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production.
• Verify prestressing operations and mortar/dasem operations as applicable; review mix designs and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings; maintain QC records for PCI/DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage and review their records.

Education
