Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant QC for precast and prestressed production and to perform owner and agency inspections for PCI/DOT programs.

You will verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, accept or reject finished products, maintain QC records, and supervise Level I inspectors. PCI Level II QC certification is required.

Qualifications

• PCI Level II certification required for QC personnel.
• Knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and DOT precast specs.
• ACI strength testing certification preferred.
• Ability to enforce specifications on the production line when schedules push.

Responsibilities

• Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, elongation, detensioning sequence, and transfer strength.
• Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
• Accept or reject finished products against specifications and shop drawings.
• Disposition repairs and maintain QC records for PCI and DOT programs.
• Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
• Review inspectors' records and ensure documentation stands for client and certification audits.
