Overview

As a Preadmission Nurse at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs, you will use skills in the department and it doesn’t stop there. Most patients never realize the part you played in getting them through one of their most vulnerable moments. Honoring your commitment to care for others is thanks enough. Our leadership is visible and the hospital is expanding its services.

Every day you will go over consent forms, answer questions about the procedure, do preoperative assessments, and prepare patients for various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures
  • Administer medications as directed by physician
  • Develop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patients
  • Demonstrate a high level of compassion for patients

Qualifications

  • Unencumbered license to practice in the State of Arkansas
  • 6 months of acute care experience is required (new graduates or nurses who have never worked in an acute care setting are hired through our residency training program)
  • Previous outpatient/pre op experience is preferred, but not required
  • BLS through the American Heart Association is required
