Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Preadmission Coordinator to lead the Preadmission Center team at Mid State Medical Center in New Britain, CT. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on preparing patients for the surgical experience and coordinating care plans across the perioperative continuum.

The ideal candidate is an experienced surgical nurse with BSN, strong leadership abilities, and CT RN licensure, ready to contribute to high-quality patient care within a supportive health system.

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• 5 years surgical nursing experience required, preferably with complex surgical patients.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct activities of staff in the Preadmission Center.
• Utilize the nursing process to facilitate patient assessment.
• Implement patient care plans in the perioperative arena.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Cover Preadmission Testing at the Hospital of Central Connecticut and occasionally at the Mid State campus.
