Job summary

Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska seeks a Pre-Trial Services Liaison to support court clients on the Winnebago Indian Reservation. You will monitor cases, assist with navigating services, and coordinate with probation, behavioral health, and community programs to meet pre-trial or probation conditions.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor Degree (or progress toward degree) in criminal justice, human services, social services, or related fields.
• Must have at least two years’ experience or an acceptable combination of experience and education.
• Grant project management experience required.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management with proven deadlines.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the Winnebago Tribe’s core mission, vision, and values.
• Maintain accurate case file records and statistical reports for grant requirements.
• Ensure all relevant documentation is included in clientele file/database.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 50 clients.
• Communicate with Probation Office regularly to provide updates on progress.
• Transport clients to court and attend hearings to provide progress updates.
• Coordinate with Probation, Recovery Program, Behavioral Health, and other programs to determine service needs.
• Interview clients to gather information about strengths, needs, employment, etc.
• Secure information related to medical, psychological, and social factors impacting clients.
• Assist with applying for social services benefits (Medical, General Relief, Vocational Rehab, etc.).
• Provide warm hand-offs and maintain communication with service providers.
• Ensure client compliance with court documents.
• Provide transportation using a company vehicle as needed.
• Maintain frequent communication with Winnebago Police Department.
• Occasional research and clerical duties.
