Job summary

Bexar County is hiring a Pre-Trial Supervisor - C to oversee pretrial bond officers and ensure accurate timekeeping, reporting, and case handling. You will interview inmates, assist in complex cases, and coordinate with courts on bond applications and documentation.

The role also requires on-call duties to communicate defendant violations and to support field investigations, with a focus on timely reporting and data-driven decisions within a public-safety context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or closely related field with 3+ years in the criminal justice system.
• Experience in preparing reports to the courts for personal bond or supervising offenders in pretrial, probation or parole.
• Knowledge of bond release eligibility requirements and criminal justice databases.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains and evaluates Pretrial Bond Officers.
• Prepares, submits and maintains daily time and attendance records.
• Interviews inmates and defendants to obtain personal information.
• Conducts investigations on PR Bond applicants using criminal information sources.
• Reviews bond applications and coordinates submission to courts for review/denial.
• On-call communication with judges regarding defendant violations (24/7).
• Coordinates arrest processes and eligibility affidavits for court representation.
• Compiles statistics and prepares periodic reports.
