Job summary

Apple Inc. in San Francisco Bay Area, California, is seeking a Wireless PHY Systems Engineer to own the Palladium pre-silicon emulation environment. You will bring up emulation builds, design the framework, and enable the team to verify new designs early with confidence.

You will work at the intersection of digital design, firmware, and validation, evolving the infrastructure across silicon generations while collaborating with RF/Analog, SYS/PHY/MAC, RTL, and FW teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong DSP and wireless comms background; PHY/MAC basics.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and C/C++ for modeling and testing.
• Familiarity with RF impairments like phase noise, IQ imbalance, nonlinearity.
• Experience with Bluetooth, UWB or related wireless protocols.
• Experience handling large datasets and performance metrics visualization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Validate Palladium emulation builds and confirm readiness for wider team use.
• Build and own framework to exercise Palladium builds and system-level config.
• Abstract bring-up to reusable infrastructure and tooling.
• Maintain emulation infrastructure across silicon generations.
• Support pre-silicon emulation efforts, including test development and debugging.
• Bring up and test Bluetooth and UWB silicon in lab.
