Job summary

AWS's Trainium and Inferentia chips power large ML clusters. We’re seeking a modeling engineer to build and own C++/SystemC models of SoCs, translating architecture specs into testable models used by RTL, DV, and software teams.

You’ll collaborate with RTL designers to validate models, develop model-based test infrastructure, and contribute to performance modeling and infrastructure improvements. Austin, TX onsite role.

Qualifications

• Experience programming in C/C++ (and Python, Java or Perl).
• Familiarity with SoC/ASIC/GPU architecture and micro-architecture.
• Knowledge of DV teams or pre-silicon validation environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and own models of SoC subsystems translating architecture specs into C++/SystemC models.
• Validate model behavior against RTL with RTL designers and DV teams.
• Develop model-based test infrastructure including regression suites and coverage-driven testing.
• Contribute to performance modeling and architectural trade-off analysis.
