Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, California, is seeking an engineer to join the ANE Compiler Pre‑Silicon team, responsible for enabling new hardware features in our simulation environment and helping with initial chip bring-up.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working across our ANE hardware and software architecture to achieve this, and have a passion for squeezing the best possible performance out of the ANE hardware.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Experience with SoC or GPU acceleration for AI.
• Experience with hardware reference models and power/performance models.
• Strong debugging, design, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement new features in the ANE compiler stack with a focus on performance and power.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to align hardware specs with software.
• Lead hardware bring-up and validation for new features.
• Contribute to architectural changes for future ANEs and drive performance improvements.
