Job summary

Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network (NRHN) is seeking a Pre-Registration Team Member to verify patient insurance benefits and pre-register demographics and financial information into our hospital system. You will support registration, reception, and scheduling while maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.

You will interact with patients in a caring, empathetic manner, protecting the medical, financial, and legal interests of the hospital, under NRHN policies and standard

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Previous Insurance background preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits for 3rd party payers and relay information to the appropriate NRHN departments.
• Pre-register patient demographics and financial information into the hospital system.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports for the Registration Department.
• Support reception, scheduling and registration activities as needed.
• Interact with patients in a caring and empathetic manner while protecting the hospital's interests.

The Pre-Registration Team Member is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standard of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.

To verify patient’s insurance benefits for requested services for all 3 rd party payers and communicate this information to the appropriate NRHN departments. Pre-register the patient’s demographic and financial information into the hospital computer system. Maintains daily, weekly and monthly reports. Supports the other functions of the Registration Department, including but not limited to, reception, scheduling and registration. Ensures that all potential and existing patients are dealt with in a caring and empathetic fashion while protecting the medical, financial and legal interests of the hospital.

Qualifications
