Job summary

The Portland Clinic in Oregon is seeking an experienced ASC Pre/Post-Operative Registered Nurse to join the Day Surgery team. This role involves admitting patients, conducting pre-op assessments, coordinating with anesthesia, and preparing for discharge.

No nights, holidays, weekends, or on-call required. You will monitor patients in PACU, document in EMR, provide post-operative instructions, and participate in quality and safety activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing.
• Oregon Nursing license is required.
• BLS & ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Receive patient in pre-operative area and verify identity.
• Complete pre-op assessments and document in EMR.
• Discharge patients per policy and provide written discharge instructions.
• Monitor patient condition and notify surgeon of changes.
• Participate in safety committees and staff education.
