Qualifications

• Knowledge of the nursing process and its application.
• Ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
• ACLS and PALS certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• The outpatient staff nurse is responsible for the delivery of direct care of the pre- and post-operative patient through the use of the nursing process while adhering to the standards of Nursing Care and policies and procedures of the hospital. The professional nurse coordinates care with other disciplines and collaborates with the patient, family, significant other, and physician on patient behalf.
