Job summary

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Iowa Dependent Adult Abuse/Iowa Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter training completed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 100 lbs rarely.
• Previous RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicates accurate and clinically relevant information with patients, families, and co-workers during handoffs.
• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care according to plan.
• Maintain real-time documentation of nursing care per policy.
• Provide education to patients and families and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Direct other licensed and non-licensed staff in providing patient care as assigned.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Support department goals and maintain a healthy work environment.
• Remain current on evidence-based practice and procedures.
