Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Kansas City is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Pre/Post Surgery. The RN will deliver professional nursing care, perform assessments, document findings, and participate in planning and evaluating patient care across the perioperative continuum.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Kansas or compact license
• ADN hires must complete BSN within 5 years of employment (UKHA)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Clinical Nurse
• Preferred Education and Experience Bachelor Degree in Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care through assessment, documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Coordinate care delivery and education with patient, family and health care team providers.
• Follow organizational policies to ensure safe patient care; perform duties as assigned.
