Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS is seeking a night shift, full-time Post Surgical Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team.

The RN will coordinate safe patient care, assess needs, and develop care plans for diverse patient populations, while adhering to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act. ACLS/BLS certifications and oncology credentials are preferred as part of the role's requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing.
• Current Kansas RN Licensure.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS for Tele, ICU and PCU.
• Oncology certification for Post Surgery.
• All required certifications completed within the first year.
• Preferred: 1 year of recent experience in healthcare.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse coordinates safe patient care delivery for specified patient populations.
• The RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes goals, and revises the plan of care.
• The RN delegates care as appropriate to optimize outcomes.
• The RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.
