Job summary

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Pre/Post Recovery team at the Main Campus. You will perform pre-operative assessment, administer medications, perform venipuncture, and support post-operative pain control across OR, IR, Endoscopy, and Cardiac Cath Lab.

Collaborating with OR/ED/Inpatient RNs, anesthesia staff, surgeons, physical therapy, radiology, and pharmacy, you will help ensure patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative: patient assessment and support.
• Administer medication and provide patient education.
• Venipuncture.
• Post-operative: pain control.
• Assessing baseline respiratory status.
• Overall comfort care.
