Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an Registered Nurse for the Nursing Recovery Room/PACU in Cleveland, OH. This position requires a current Ohio RN license and AHA certifications (ACLS, PALS, PEARS) with NRP as appropriate.

Biweekly 8-hour shifts in a recovery/ambulatory setting, with responsibilities spanning direct patient care, documentation, and supervision of unit staff. Candidate should demonstrate nursing theory knowledge, strong critical thinking, and the ability to work with diverse

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
• AHA certifications (ACLS, PALS, PEARS) required; NRP for neonatal care per AAP guidelines.
• BLS/CPR certification with readiness to obtain/maintain required within the stated period.
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, medical asepsis and patient safety.
• Ability to work with ambulatory surgery patients and PACU/Recovery area.
• Ability to lift 250–300 pounds with assistance and move patients safely.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, document and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients per orders and standards.
• Direct activities of assigned nursing staff and maintain accurate patient records.
• Observe, assess, and report patient conditions; ensure timely documentation and continuity of care.
• Uphold MetroHealth System mission, values and customer service standards.
