Job summary

Froedtert Health in Menomonee Falls, WI, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician on-site at Froedtert Men Falls Hospital. You will work under pharmacist supervision to prepare and distribute medications and support daily pharmacy operations.

A minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience is preferred; completion of an accredited technician program and WI registration by hire date are recommended.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in a hospital pharmacy preferred.
• Pharmacy technician credentialing and state registration required or planned by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications.
• Follow policies to support pharmacy operations.

Shift Details: MCW & CUW: 1 weeknight shift every week and every other weekend (1st and 2nd shifts). UW: Every third weekend (1st and 2nd shifts). Holidays: 2 a year

Job Summary:

Following established policies and procedures, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares and distributes medication and performs functions essential to the operations of the pharmacy department. Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.

LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:

Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is preferred.
