Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships is seeking a skilled Preowned Automotive Technician to inspect, recondition, and service our used vehicle inventory. Your work directly impacts the quality, safety, and value of every vehicle we put on the front line — and we hold reconditioning to the same standard a customer would expect on a brand-new car.

You’ll diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across multiple makes and models, complete safety inspections, and maintain a clean, organized shop

Qualifications

• Automotive repair experience across multiple brands preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• ASE certifications a plus.
• Own a basic set of tools.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough used-vehicle inspections and reconditioning to front-line-ready standard.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across multiple makes and models.
• Complete safety inspections and any certification (CPO) requirements to the letter.
• Document all needed and completed repairs clearly and communicate condition to management.
• Work efficiently to keep reconditioning timelines tight so vehicles hit the line fast.
• Flag safety concerns and quality issues — never pass a vehicle that isn’t right.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and properly care for shop equipment.
