Job summary

Grubbs Family of Dealerships in Texas seeks a skilled Preowned Automotive Technician to inspect, recondition, and service our used-vehicle inventory. Your work directly impacts the quality, safety, and value of every vehicle we put on the front line — and we hold reconditioning to the same standard a customer would expect on a brand-new car.

You will diagnose, repair, and verify readiness before line release.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing vehicles across multiple brands.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical abilities.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• Own a basic set of tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough used-vehicle inspections and complete reconditioning to front-line-ready standard.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across makes and models.
• Complete safety inspections and any CPO requirements to the letter.
• Document repairs clearly and communicate condition to management.
• Work efficiently to keep reconditioning timelines tight.
• Flag safety concerns and quality issues; never pass a vehicle that isn’t right.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and care for shop equipment.
