Canopy by Hilton New York 34th Street is assembling a high-energy pre-opening Sales team. The Group Sales Manager will drive group business in NYC, build a strong account base, and collaborate across Operations, F&B, and Revenue Management to ensure flawless execution of programs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in hotel group sales, with NYC market knowledge and a track record in developing new business for lifestyle or luxury hotels.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hotel sales experience with direct group sales preferred.
• New York City hotel sales experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing group accounts and developing new business.
• Experience with lifestyle, full-service, luxury, or major branded hotels preferred.
• Pre-opening or hotel opening experience is a plus.
• Hilton or Canopy brand experience is a plus.
• Experience with hospitality CRM and Delphi or comparable systems preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
• Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Flexibility to attend client events evenings or weekends.

Responsabilités

• Proactively develop and strengthen relationships with clients to generate group bookings and long-term business.
• Build the hotel's group account base during the pre-opening phase.
• Conduct sales calls, client appointments, site inspections, entertainment, networking events, trade shows, and familiarization trips.
• Develop relationships with meeting planners, corporate clients, associations, travel partners, entertainment contacts, and other organizations.
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the sales process for high service levels.
• Partner with Operations, F&B, Revenue Management, and Events to ensure smooth execution of booked business.
• Research, identify, prospect, and qualify new group leads for the hotel.
• Respond to group inquiries and RFPs promptly and professionally.
• Prepare proposals, contracts, presentations, and client correspondence per standards.
• Negotiate rates and contract terms while protecting revenue objectives.
• Convert leads into definite business and achieve group sales goals.
