Job summary

AdventHealth in Colorado is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our team. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans while administering medications per orders.

Educate patients and families, coordinate with staff, and ensure high-quality documentation and patient safety. The ideal candidate holds an Associate's in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), is licensed as an RN, and has BLS certification.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required
• 1+ acute care hospital setting preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• Nursing assessment and care planning experience
• Knowledge of infection control and safety standards
• Ability to educate patients and families

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise as needed
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocol
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure teamwork
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record
• Evaluate care effectiveness and adjust plans to improve outcomes
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication
• Supervise care providers and delegate tasks as needed
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement
• Respond promptly to code situations and interventions
