Location: Food Production Plant, 4400 S. 96th St., Omaha, NE 68127

Essential job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performs daily pre-op inspection of all processing and welfare areas. Records results in pre-op forms.
  • Monitors incoming raw materials with respect to temperature, labeling and condition. Records information on quality control sheets. Monitors incoming non-manufactured items for adherence to OSI specifications and records information on quality control sheets.
  • Monitors and inspects repack and finished product items to insure conformance to OSI specifications. Records on quality control audit sheets.
  • Performs daily inspection of operational sanitation practices, observes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), employee hygiene, product storage facilities, and evidence of cross – contamination. Notes deficiencies and corrective actions on quality control sheets.
  • Monitors HACCP compliance on production processes and regulated products – Takes appropriate action where necessary.
  • Inspects returned product and determines disposition. Records on quality control sheets.
  • Performs metal detector checks.
  • Collect samples for lab analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel) and data entry experience helpful
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Minimum one year experience in meat production
  • QA experience preferred.

Schedule: Full Time Monday - Friday, 3:45am until 12:15pm. Hours based on business needs.
