Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience, preferably in perioperative services.
• Licensed and registered as a nurse in Connecticut; current BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and collect medical history; document findings.
• Review medical records to identify risks and plan care.
• Coordinate pre-op testing: order and review labs, EKGs, and related tests.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe care planning.
• Triage, educate patients on pre-op instructions, and ensure timely follow-up.
