Job summary

Panorama Eyecare in Cheyenne, WY is seeking a Registered Nurse – Operating Room/Circulator to join our perioperative team. You will provide nursing care during operative/procedural phases and work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff.

The role requires a Colorado RN license, BLS, ACLS and PALS within three months, and two years OR experience; ophthalmology/outpatient surgery is preferred. We offer competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Colorado RN nursing license in good standing.
• BLS certification.
• ACLs and PALS certification within three months of hire.
• 2 years OR experience; ophthalmology/outpatient surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates high level of customer service in a compassionate, caring manner.
• Ensures proper techniques according to standards of practice.
• Documents occurrences; reports to OR Manager or Director.
• Assists in gathering supplies and equipment for procedures; maintains clean environment.
• Performs circulating duties for all ASC specialties.
• Positions patient for safety and comfort; prepares operative site.
• Monitors aseptic technique.
• Assists with postoperative meds and dressings; accurate nursing documentation.
• Assists anesthesia with intubation/extubation.
• Identifies and mitigates patient risks; maximizes safety.
• Stocking and ordering medications for OR and anesthesia.
• Assists in training and orientation of new staff.
• Opens and sterilizes instruments per policy; maintains equipment.
