Job summary

HCA HealthONE Centennial in Colorado is seeking a Pre-Op Registered Nurse (PACU) to join a dedicated team delivering compassionate patient care prior to surgery. You will oversee and direct care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure age-appropriate, safe nursing practices.

The role requires Colorado RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and at least one year of acute care experience with prior Pre-Op PACU exposure.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS certification.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• One (1) year minimum experience in acute care required.
• Prior Pre Op PACU experience Required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the care of the pre surgical/procedural patient.
• Serve as the primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Oversee and direct the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.
• Deliver care, which is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patients.
• You may be asked to float to areas other than your assigned service area, and you will perform only those duties for which you have demonstrated competency.
