Job summary

Timonium Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, Inc, is hiring a Full Time Pre Op/PACU RN to provide high-quality post-anesthesia care and nursing support in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The role requires an accredited RN education, active license in the state, BLS/ACLS (PALS if required), and at least 2 years PACU/ICU experience. Expect coordinated care, patient safety, and responsive teamwork in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients with continual evaluation of condition.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and privacy at all times.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the patient and family for discharge.
